In the wise words of Earth, Wind, and Fire, “Do you remember the 21st night 23rd day of September?”

On the 23rd of September, LUMSoc had the amazing opportunity to meet the new freshmen of Leeds at the Leeds University Union’s Freshers’ Fair! Freshers from all parts of the world, Malaysian or not, were introduced to the Leeds University Malaysian Society and experienced iconic Malaysian art forms like batik and traditional games like batu seremban.

As the academic year begins, it’s perfectly normal for freshers to feel overwhelmed—being away from home and immersed in a world where everything feels new and unfamiliar. But LUMSoc offers a haven, a home away from home, where students can feel they belong.

The Freshers’ Fair was just a stepping stone for students to get to know LUMSoc. Whether you’re Malaysian or not, we’re grateful to have met you and look forward to seeing you at our future events!
